Résumé : |
Students need a book which can show them actual means of thinking their way into literary texts.Too often they are put off by the resistant surface of literature, or made apprehensive by its eminence,or are convinced that there is nothing more than the obvious to be said about it. This book aims to meet this need.It seeks to involve the student in the actual process of thinking about literature, showing how to start with one idea and often new insights. To this end it presents a series of demonstrations in which the reader is invited to participate, without having to accept the author's own interpretations. |

Résumé : |
In the year 2020, Covid-19 changed the world as knew it.It is a year that will inevitably go down in history and be analysed repeatedly.
Life was normal as the bells brought in the New Year.Nobody foresaw what was around the corner, something that every country and every person in the world would experience-there would be no escaping from the impending pandemic.
Covid -19 began to take a grip first in china and Asia in January and then Italy and Spain in February.Pictures filtered through of hospitals filling up as cases rose and of the deaths that followed. One country after another locked down to halt the spread of the disease. The UK was to follow.
On the 23 March the UK went into lockdown.Businesses, shops and schools closed, towns and cities emptied as people were told to stay at home-we were now Living in Lockdown.
Living in Lockdown is my personal experience of this time, the good and the bad.My emotions and fears for my family and friends and how we lived through this period. The news as it developed internationally, nationally and locally. How the numbers grew worldwide as the virus took hold and lastly my own take on politicians and the political decisions they made.My journey starts in the middle of March and charts my life and experiences through lockdown until the end of October2020.
Covid-19 has changed me,it has changed the world. The way we live our lives will probably never be the same.My hope is that the world will emerge as a better place once we finally end our time Living in Lockdown.
