Résumé : |
The ability to write good English is not easy to
acquire. Rather than a knowledge of grammatical
terms the student must understand the principles
which underlie good written English.
Designed as a course, for use either in the
classroom or for the student working on his own,
Good English is divided into a series of carefully
graded lessons. Each particular aspect of written
English, such as sentence construction or style, is
explained and discussed with the aid of working
examples. The result is not a grammar book, but
rather a course on the underlying principles of good
English and a description of how they can be
applied in English composition.
